Dear Telesis Parents,

As the summer comes to a close soon and we at Telesis look ahead to the beginning of our 25th year serving LHC’s students K-12, it is very exciting. So exciting that we cannot wait until the school year begins to tell you of the great teaching staff and support staff we have in place to make this year the most exciting one yet. Before the school year begins, we want to invite you to Teacher Meet and Greet Night at Telesis in the gymnasium on Thursday, August 13th at 6:00 PM. So save the date and bring the entire family so you can meet our incredible teaching staff face to face. 

We will kick off the 2015-2016 School Year with our traditional Marine Corps League Flag Raising at 8:30 am on August 17th in the Starlite Lane cul-de-sac at which time we will also participate in the National Million Father March 2015 when we encourage fathers to bring their children to school on the first day of school and stay for the flag raising. The aim is to inspire fathers and families to be more effectively engaged in their children’s education. Telesis Teachers will partner with parents to produce even better results in their classrooms. Many of those teachers whom you may already know are teaching in the same positions as last year, some of the teachers you may know have been reassigned to new positions, and even some teachers are brand new to Telesis this year.

To summarize, here are the dates, times, and events you don’t want to miss to get the 2015-2016 School Year started in a positive push for excellence for your children, our students:

Thursday, August 13th, 6:00 PM – Teacher Meet and Greet Night/Schedule Pick-Up, Gym

Monday, August 17th, 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM – First Day of School

Monday, August 17th, 8:30 AM – Marine Corps League Flag Raising . . . and
National Million Father March 2015 – Dads, bring your kids to
school on the first day and stay for flag raising, so we can
recognize you for being effectively engaged in your children’s education.

Thursday, September 17th, 5:00-8:00 PM – Community Open House & Scholastic Book Fair
Bring your family and friends to Open House and Book Fair.

Thursday, October 1st, 5:00-6:00 PM – PWC Meeting (Parents Who Care)
Join us for the first PWC meeting of the school year to help
ambassador our school; for ALL Telesis parents free of charge.
